Obviously Stevens Mill / Warrick's Mill is one of my favorite places to paint (from old photographs). In the 1950's, 60's, and 70's it had a picnic shelter and a pavilion with a diving board. It was open to the public, and was locally popular for picnics, fishing, etc. Our 1960 school yearbook has images of the senior "superlatives" artfully posed as couples having fun at the Mill. My memories and photos of the place are still inspiring me to paint, years later.
